This was a nice comfortable apartment well appointed and within easy walking distance of Whitianga town and each.
There were 4 of us staying together, and everything worked well: kitchen and lounge and bedrooms were spacious and everything worked.
Nice outlook, would stay there again no trouble.
Not what we expected, polite staff though really did not want to see anyone after 5.00pm on a Sunday - reception was closed blinds half down.
Reception was not easy to find.
The inside of the complex looks like a prison, need to improve
Could be more appealing - yes they are owned by people and rented out though we did not think a couple in their late 50's were going to trash a unit - pre paid and asked for credit card incase we trashed the place most unusal.
Carpet could be cleaner.
Back unit does not have a great view from.
If you were staying for a few nights and needed to wash & cook great for a family or people who are off out fishing to be able to come back to a unit with everything they may need.
Good coffee in the room - no instant thank you !- wished there had been Earl Grey tea only one to choose from Gum Boot not for us.
Reception staff go to great lengths to welcome all our guests, even those who arrive late. There are quite large signs on the pillars next to Reception, so most people seem to find Reception quite easily. This guest booked a standard one bedroom for one night. Despite being a busy weekend with many apartments in use over the weekend, they were allocated a top floor, sunny, north facing apartment, popular with a number of return guests. The building is what it is. Much as we would like to, we can’t change how the building looks on the outside. We do, however, encourage owners to make their apartments as comfortable and appealing as possible. It is standard practice to register a credit card number on all bookings, even those that are pre-paid. Many guests add extra charges to their room account, which is why credit card details are registered on arrival. The standard hospitality supply of tea & coffee is much the same as found in most accommodation places. Those who have particular preferences tend to carry their own. Apartment accommodation is well suited to visitors who like to stay for longer periods. Our overseas visitors love the fact that there is a washing machine and drier in the apartment, so they can get their washing done in their own time. They enjoy alfresco breakfast or evening drinks on their balcony. Our guests also enjoy the heated pool and spa; a great attraction for families. Marina Park Apartments is a great base from which to explore and enjoy our lovely coastal environment. Our small town has a great range of fantastic restaurants within just a short stroll of the complex.
Great location, thoroughly pleaseant apartment, but try to get a marina view, we loved it! Central location is close to best restaurants.
