Excellent stay, great heating in the room in fact there is so little heat loss that its important to suggest guests crack the front and rear windows before retiring.

If you are going to Wanganui this is the place to stay, the owners are very helpfull, will help you any way they can . The motel is very clean, and it has a spar bath,The shops only 100 meters up the road, pleanty of places to eat i rate it 10 out of 10, the best out of the 3 motels we stayed in,,,,, Dave Eldere
The Siena Motor Lodge is the cleanest, best equiped, best value motel I have ever used in NZ.
Very comfortable and the people were helpful, friendly and communicative. The extra touches in the unit such as a fruit bowl and lots of informative brochures, pamphlets etc were useful and appreciated. We would rate the stay a 5 and have no hesitation recommending it to others.
Stayed one night while attending friends 50th. Spotlessly clean, well appointed, very comfy bed and to top it off a wee goodie basket to welcome us. Prompt and helpful check in and check out. Would definitely go back.
This motel complex, which we have stayed at twice, is an excellent base for Wanganui business or holiday. Very well presented units, friendly, helpful hosts and enjoy motel provided breakfast or if you want to really spoil yourself, go next door to Gelato Cafe for breakfast/brunch or lunch. The hosts of this establishment went above and beyond in every way imaginable. The units are large and impeccably clean, and the kitchenettes are stocked for almost any possible use. Highly recommend this place!
Fantastic place to stay in Wanganui. Great rooms, very clean and tidy property. I could not fault it. Cooked breakfast was great. Good location wit supermarket and dinning just across the road.

We had a one night stay at the Siena Motor Lodge while visiting relatives in Wanganui. The motel is on the main Ave within easy walking distance to shops, galleries, cafe's and supermarkets.
Our unit was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, good sized bathroom and welcoming goodie basket.
We were welcomed in a nice friendly manner as was our departure. My husband and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Siena and we will certainly be returning. 5 star rating for us
great service great unit, rating 5, only downside is that you can hear the showers in adjoining units everything else superb.
Upon arriving I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman, who showed me to my room, which was clean and tidy, with some lovely complimentary treats.

An exceptional motel as it was modern & clean, & fully equipped. We stayed in a one bed roomed unit with spa which was lovely and relaxing for the 2 of us. We were able to walk to the main centre of town and supermarkets, cafes, restaurants etc were also very handy. We were very well looked after by friendly hosts Marie and Noel and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a place to stay in Wanganui.
Rooms clean, tidy , big, well equipped, comfortable and well priced - an excellent well run and friendly example of this genre of accommodation prevalent in NZ - I will use this motel again.
The managers were very pleasant on our arrival. The room was very well appointed with the little extras not normally seen in motels. High quality, clean bathroom although we did not use the spa bath. Kitchen was well equipped with full cooking facilities. We stayed in a rear unit, no road noise at all, very convenient to supermarkets and restaurants. I would recommend this property to others.
Excellent place to stay, very central and with lovely extra touches such as the complimentary basket of goodies on our arrival. The hosts were also very helpful in accomodating an extra vehicle and trailer.

We were so happy with our accommodation at Sienna Lodge Motel that we decided to self cater instead of going out for a meal as we had intended that night. We were in New Zealand for 4 and a half weeks in total, staying no more than 2 nights in any one place and one at most places. We stayed in a mix of hotels, motels, a B&B a homestay and 2 bachs. Mainly motels. This motel was the best motel we stayed in both in value for money, self-catering facilities, comfort, and litlle extra touches, like a bottle of water in the fridge, and a small bowl of complimentary snacks. Comfortable lounge with TV, dining area and kitchen area, separate bedroom with TV. Great bathroom with shower and lovely spa bath. Friendly welcome. Wish we had been staying an extra night. All in all would give it 10 out of 10.
A very pleasant and convenient motel with lovely clean and modern rooms, close to the CBD of Wanganui, with warm and welcoming hosts.
With the help of our son, who is living in Wanganui, to check out accomodation near to him, we decided to book our stay in the Sienna Motor Lodge. We arrived later than anticipated, but there was no problem with that, it had already been anticipated that customers could arrive later than planned.
The owner and manager, along with his wife, were more than helpful during our stay. The offer of free laundry facility was most helpful.They also suggested places to visit. The room was clean and very comfortable. The site quiet and managed as such. The position was a short walk to shops and restaurants.
Altogether, we would wholeheartedly recommend this as a place to stay. It was our first time at a motel / lodge and would, on this experience, consider using them again.

We were extremely happy with every aspect of our stay. The hosts were very friendly the unit was spotlessly cleaned each day of our stay and we felt that they just went that extra mile. Flawless. Friendly staff, free upgrade, clean, modern, comfortable, central location.
If I had to come up with one thing to complain about, it was the guy in the room next door having a shower at 4.55am, and the water pipes / cylinder make a huge noise. Not the fault of the motel if guests decide to shower at the crack of dawn, but maybe look at insulating the pipes better. But this incident certainly didn't make me think twice about staying again.

The Siena Motor Lodge is the best place to stay in Wanganui...it's clean, easy to find, comfy beds, nicest owners who are so helpful, great take-out Chinese food is available, perfect jucuzzi tub and everything one would need...even had beautiful, fluffy robes to wear! At this price point, one couldn't find better.
Very pleased with the attention that had been paid by the owners to the little extras - free fruit 7snacks, liquid soap, good, comprehensive kitchen utensils. Place was clean and reasonably well equipped.
Would suit those on business and as an occasional night stop. Not really for those on vacation as no views and not near any key attractions.

We had a great stay. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. There were a number of extra touches which are a departure from standard motel/motor lodge expectations. The unit was immaculately presented and very welcoming. Will certainly visit again.
Being an international sales manager I stay in a lot of hotels and Siena Motor Lodge will always be one of my favourites!
The great hospitatlity of the owner (Noel), made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped out of my car! The room was a good size, the complimentary snacks went down a treat and the breakfast was a prefet start to my next day, which incidentally was delivered bang on time!!
If I am ever in the area again there is no doubt in my mind I will be staying at Siena Motor Lodge!!!
