9km north of Turangi and 40km south of Taupo at the southern end of Lake Taupo. Lakefront camp in quiet Motuoapa Bay, 200m off State Highway 1, adjacent to boat ramps and marina. Central for fishing the Tongariro and Tauranga-Taupo rivers. Tent and power sites, self contained holiday homes, cabin, motorhomes welcome, Facilities include fully equipped kitchen, toilets/hot showers, TV/guest lounge, laundry, linen hire, fish cleaning area, non-smoking, 200m to cafe. Tariff: tent/power site adult from $15; child 4-14yrs $8; minimum site charge $15; on-site cabin hire from $30 plus camp fees; holiday home from $115/night; long stay discounts; seasonal rates may apply, NZMCA discounts
