Very relaxing stay. Accommodation and lounge furnishings were first class, shower pressure was great, bed was just right and the cooked breakfast set me up for the rest of the day. All my expectations were exceeded and would stay again. Recommended to all.

Absolutely loved our brief stay. Rosemary and Ian very obliging & hospitable and informative and I agree with a previous traveller @ being non intrusive. Lovely cooked breakfast and access to TV lounge/kitchenette with fantastic views. Worth the extra for Super King bedroon with also fantastic views of the Bay. Lovely walk via adjacent reserves and sea frontage.
Good central point for us to do day excursions in Sth Canty to Geraldine or Pleasant Point, but would also appeal to Ch Ch travellers enroute to Sthrn Lakes district or Dunedin or Invercargill

accommodation is comfortable with great view of Caroline bay.The house is modern and just built 5 years ago.It is very clean.Sunrise view is spectacular.It is next to the walk around the bay but it is rather quiet.Privacy is ensured.Ian and Rosemary are great host.Cooked breakfast is good but not exceptional.It is a close drive into town for dinner.It is a hidden gem.I will of course stay here again if I am in the area.
Great Hosts who looked after us very well in a pleasant and relaxing place. Have no second thoughts of returning again and again.

Pleasant View was our first night in New Zealand and was an excellent location to start our vacation. The facility was modern, clean and outstanding in every aspect! We totally enjoyed the view over Caroline Bay and the community of Timaru. Much thanks to our hosts!
we had a large bedroom and bathroom, which could be heated. Also a flat screen tv. we could also use the large livingroom, with view on the sea. Big tv and internet. Lots of books, dvd and tips for traveling. The owner gave us her mountainbikes and we had a great trip along the seashore and a huge park which had a mountainbike trail. It was great.

You feel welcome from the time you arrive to the time you leave, the accommodation is modern, clean, relaxing and very comfortable. I would recommend Pleasant View to anyone who wants to stay in Timaru.
Pleasant View B&B is a jewel - extremely comfortable, amazing location and lovely friendly hosts. There are excellent walks right outside the door, and a sapacious shared loung and kitchen. And Timaru is full of surprises - definately a great place to visit, especially if you stay here.
Had a great stay - we were warmly welcomed adn there wasn't anything that they could not do to make it better for us.

I spent a week in Timaru for a hockey tournament and Pleasant View B&B was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was great, Rosemary and Ian always had time to talk to you and make sure you were ok. The bedroom and bathroom were lovely, internet access was included and the living area available to guests had sky TV and coffee making kit, microwave etc. This place is worth every dollar. When I am next in Timaru I know where I am staying
Our stay at the Pleasant view B&B was extremely pleasant.
Our hosts were very hospitable and obliging. The rooms are beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A lovely view of the ocean from both our bedroom and communal living area.
We had ample privacy but the hosts were just upstairs should we need them for anything.
This was our first experience staying in a B&B and I feel that the standard has been set very high.
I highly recommend staying at the Pleasant View B&B, you wouldn't be disappointed, I know that I will be back!

I would've loved to have spent a bit more time in the open plan,ultra modern lounge which had amazing views across the harbour. I was welcomed by Rosemary very warmly and she indicated she was upstairs if I needed anything.I had a very lovely room and everything was perfect. I look forward to staying there again. I felt very relaxed and catered for.
Although we were, initially, a bit surprised at the general location, we had a good night and a a pleasent walk in the morning ( we recommend backtracking at the flaxes on the beach).
Pleasant View is just that. A very pleasant view and a lovely B & B. The rooms were beautiful and the view was stunning. Rosemary was a very pleasant host. Highly recommend.
On our third visit to Pleasant View, the courteous and friendly service was just as good as the other two.

Rosemary and Ian were very welcoming. Their modern home has beautiful views over the bay. Guests have their own lounge and kitchen/diner with sea views. Tea and coffee always available. Our room was comfortable with a modern en-suite bathroom and excellent shower. Both continental and cooked breakfast was on offer and Rosemary's home-made meusli is delicious. A good selection of restaurants is within a short drive or 15 minute walk. We were very happy with our stay here.
We arrived in the South Island absolutely exhausted and spent our first night in Pleasant View. We can not ask for a more congenial welcome. Rosemary and Ian were absolutely charming, our room had a fantastic view across the bay and was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant Rosemary recommended was spot on; dinner was delicious. It was a shame to leave. What more can we say? Oh yes, the home made bread is to die for!
Our travel plans were interrupted by the Christchurch earthquake and we extended our stay here, which our hosts went to some trouble to accommodate .... for which we are very grateful . Our stay at Pleasant View was our first B & B of the month long trip ...we could not have wished for a nicer couple, our hosts Rosemary and Ian are lovely people , the atmosphere was very relaxing and nothing was too much trouble , the house is in a uniquely beautiful setting and we got to explore and enjoy Timaru as an added bonus ...
Stayed one night at Pleasant View as a stopover between Dunedin and Christchurch.
Very welcoming and ideally set-up for couples. Superb accomodation with a huge living area as well as a beutifully appointed bedroom.
Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

We stayed for one night in the Queen Room located at the rear and looking out onto a courtyard. Room was very simple but really comfortable with large ensuite. Communal area consisted of a lounge and kitchenette with 180 degree views of Timaru harbour. Breakfast was great consisting of continental and cooked breaky just what is needed and watching the water and the harbour as you eat is hard to beat. This was great as we then only had a 2 hour drive to Christchurch.
Rosemary and Ian were delightful hosts at this bright and charming b&b. Great facilities, as well as a superb view of the bay and harbour. We were well looked after!
The house has a lovely view of the bay and is exceptionally clean. There are 2 bedrooms with a shared lounge/kitchenette area for guests but we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves the night we stayed. Rosemary and Ian, the property's owners and the hosts, were very helpful & welcoming without ever being obtrusive. Highly recommended. Thank you so much Rosemary & Ian.

Tasty home-made bread and cookies, clean, warm room w/ ocean view & comfy beds, coastal walking trail out front door, the owners were so nice and friendly, park in the driveway, free laundry (including soap), terrific breakfast...what's not to love about the Pleasant View B & B? It was perfect in every way.

The property and location are extremely good with great views and service by the hosts. The walking path nearby is also great. It was a very relaxing stay.
My husband and I had the most enjoyable stay at this B & B. Ian and Rosemary were so welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. We especially enjoyed the homemade shortbread and the breakfast was lovely. This was luxurious accommodation and much better value for quality of the room and facilities than any motel I have stayed in at this price. Would recommend to all and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Fantastic place to stay - top quality and comfort, lovely hosts, beautiful views out over Timaru Port and Caroline Bay. It's the only place I stay when in Timaru for work, but it's also the perfect choice for one or two couples travelling around on holiday and wanting a gorgeous place to stay.
