"Review" This was given a review of 3 stars (Average)

Hotel owners were friendly and we were offered an upgrade to a two bedroom unit which was a nice as our two children were with us. Unfortunately the room itself was damaged, tired and in good need of an update on decor, fittings and furniture and not in line with the amount charged..

The picture above is only the newer part of the hotel and does not necessarily reflect the whole complex.

"obliging staff" This was given a review of 4 stars (Good)

Even though Cedar Motor Lodge had not received the booking from Jason's, they very quickly settled us in to a very nice 2 bedroom unit. We found the service very good and the unit very suitable to our needs.

"Great Stay!" This was given a review of 4 stars (Good)

We were more than happy with the services and facilities the Cedar Motor Lodge offered. Although not within walking distance to the main shops in Timaru they are still easily located on the main road and only a few minutes drive to the main centre. We stayed in a room that accommodates 8 people and it was great. The unit was well furnished and the beds very comfortable. There were electric blankets on the beds although not that we really needed them as the weather was awesome. The kitchen had everything we needed including tea, coffee etc provided. All in all a very nice place to stay. Would recommend Fusion Restaurant and also Sukothai - both on the main street. Had lovely meals at each and would advise you to book.

"Double booked, and let down." This was given a review of 2 stars (Below Expected)

Booked a room with good features based on availability shown online. Arrived to find lack of services stated. when asked about it I was told "our booking had been changed". As far as I'm aware if a room is available and you book it, it is then no longer available to others? Poor organising and no contact. Just bumped us along. A $10 discount was appreciated, but we will not be returning.
