Overview

Rapids Jet surfs the biggest rapids for commercial jet boating in New Zealand. Shoot through narrow canyons, be exhilarated by the spin on crystal clear waters, spot a trout and surf the pressure waves of the awesome Nga Awapurua rapids (Maori for 'the river of springs ). These rapids have large pressure waves and narrow chutes, dropping off ledges into whirlpools.

Your custom-built Rapids Jet has a deep V bottom for a smooth ride through the waves. Impressive Chevy V8 jet engines power you up and down thrilling white water rapids 364 days of the year on the fast flowing Waikato River. The riverbanks are lined with fantastic native bush and steaming hot springs.

Children must be 5 years and over 1 metre tall to ride. Appropriate for all fitness levels. Daily departures. Bookings essential.
