I found it nice and very peaceful and walked to the lake everyday and the dairy was a 1 minute walk. The owners are very nice and friendly and the place is very clean and tidy and i thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and i would recommend it to any one.
Spacious and comfortable unit. Nice location. Friendly owners. Five minutes walk to lake and swimming, and the Lake Taupo walkway (takes about an hour to walk into Taupo). Ploughmans a good place to eat (a minutes walk). Five minutes drive into Taupo. Overall, a very nice and relaxing place to stay. Yes, we'd go back and stay there next time we take a break in Taupo.

Unfortunately not much available when we booked for New Year weekend.
Have stayed there before but hasn't improved much. Old style 70-80's feel still there. Needs refurbishing - beds, tv, fridge, seating, carpet. Was overpriced compared to other newer motels with views of lake.
Bedding not made properly, old topper pad on mattress.
Was however clean & tidy. Also quiet with main road on our side. Handy to area we like at 2 Mile Bay & Ploughmans Resturant.
