Huka Falls Resort offers a peaceful, private and relaxed environment situated just minutes from New Zealand's largest lake, the world renowned Huka Falls, and the thriving township of Taupo.
Nestled amongst 7 hectares of landscaped gardens and a vineyard sit our spacious stand alone villas. With three styles of accommodation consisting of 17 stand alone two bedroom villas, 10 one bedroom suites & 10 studios (which are linked by an interconnecting door), with bath/shower, electric blankets, iron/ironing board and a private balcony.
This is a unique venue for everyone with 2 tennis courts, petanque and wine tasting onsite in the restaurant - Cafe Pinot. Cafe Pinot offers stunning views over Mt Tauhara & the Pinot Noir Vineyard. Open for Brunch/Lunch Tuesday to Sunday 11am - 3pm. Dinner Thursday, Friday & Saturday 5:30pm - late. Closed Monday.

Extra Facilities include; 2 tennis courts, a petanque court, an outdoor swimming pool (summer months only) and 6 conference rooms that seat 2 - 140. Along with an onsite Restaurant that takes your taste buds on a journey. Dine on our deck overlooking the Pinot Noir Vines and out to Mt Tauhara, the cellar room for those private dinners or in the Alfresco style restaurant.

"spacious"

Hi, I really enjoyed the spacious feel of the Huka Village chalets. the water pressure in the showers could be increased though.

"Cute"

Found the resort very cute, our room was joined to another "room" so we found ourselves waking up hearing voices through the door of mystery.

Staff very helpfull, and friendly.

Was a family place, had littlies running around.

Wished we had a carport, It snowed and had to get our hands dirty cleaning the snow off.

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and liked our friendly, helpful service. Our suites and studio have an interconnecting door to allow the option of opening up to become an interconnected villa. These have a double door system to reduce noise transfer, however we are looking into better soundproofing options for the next refurbishment. We try to ensure that guests are only put on the other side of a unit when we are full. All our 2 bedroom villas and 1 bedroom suites have a carport, so perhaps next time you stay you might like to book one of these room types, as the carports are very handy, particularly when it’s cold and frosty. The snow was so exciting wasn’t it! We don’t get snow here normally, so that was a fun novelty.

"Lovely break"

Had a great break in Taupo and the Huka falls resort was perfect. Clean and tidy with good facilities, thoroughly recommend this accommodation to friends and family.

"Great family accommodation"

A great place to stay for larger groups of people, and families with younger children. Plenty of space to run around, and the stand-alone cottages provided privacy and a relaxing atmosphere.

Our villa was not "new" however provided all that we needed - it had a kitchen and a good size lounge. With seperate bedrooms, we could put the kids to sleep and enjoy some peace and quiet without a worry of them waking.

Although it is not right in town, we would have had to drive everywhere we needed to go anyway, and is accessible.

We would be back.

"Update needed"

Very much in the seventies with the decor and appliances. No air conditioning. Could be really nice with a spruce up and a move into the 21st century.

We do not have air conditioning but we can easily provide fans in the summertime to any guests who requires this.
