The hotel was good and the owners were happy to store our suitcases while we went off for 4 days trekking. We returned and the owners booked us in early and we had access to a clothes line with pegs to hang our washing.

Our stay at the Chevron Motel totally added to our amazing concert experience this weekend. Excellent value for money, great location (walking distance to everything), clean and super friendly, helpful management. Will definitely recommend and stay again!
As well as a handy location to supermarkets, shops, takeaways and cafes, the motel was affoedable, spotlessly clean, spacious and quiet. We will stay there again when visiting Taupo.

This was very clean and tidy although it was showing its age in places. Warm, had excellent facilities, and I would definatley stay here again. I requestted a room that was quiet, and I never heard a sound all night. If you are looking for somewhere that is clean, tidy, and resonabley prised, then dont look any further. Limited view though.. Cheers
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Chevron. The Motel is just 2 minutes walk away from the shops and supermarkets. Rooms very clean and the service very friendly.

This is the second time we have stayed and found it very accommodating and friendly.
Was OK, but they failed to service the room one day. I had to wait while they did it .
After a full day at work I was not impressed. They offered no compensation of any kind, not even an extra bottle of milk. I came back after 8 hours at work to find that in that time they hadn't serviced THE ROOM!!!

We spent two days at the Chevron. Of all the motels we visited during our two weeks on North island it was the best for facilities. With a separate bedroom, bathroom and toilet off it, and large lounge with well-equipped kitchenette it was an excellent start to our holiday.

We had an upstairs unit, and we found it to be quiet, well equipped, clean and presentable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Add to that a comfotable bed, and what more could you want!

This was the 2nd time we have stayed at this property. The motel is nicely placed, off the main road and easy walking distance to shops. We stayed in a bottom floor two bedroom unit and there was plenty of space. The room was clean and felt homely on entrance. For a family with small children I would recommend a downstairs room.
The hosts are very helpful and friendly.
For further stops between Auckland and Wellington this will be our place to stop.

We stayed in a one bedroom and it was spacious. Furnishings may be old but it was clean. They provided fresh towels everyday and filled in the complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and hot choco also. Owners were very helpful and gave good suggestions on things to do.
It is a 10 minute walk from the lake front, restaurants and from the ISite so the neighborhood is quiet. But sometimes from all the activities, it can be tiring to walk but other than that it's good.
What can I say? This place is freindly, clean and tidy - with good basic facilities that work well and were very adequate for our needs. My son loved the spa pool! Thanks guys.
