Overview

Bella Vista Motel offers Qualmark Enviro Bronze and Qualmark 4-star Motel accommodation at Lake Taupo. Accommodation consists of 18 non-smoking motel units including: 4 compact studios, sleep 1-2, with tea/coffee/toast making facilities; 12 studios, sleep 1-2, with microwave kitchenette; 2x1 bedroom units, sleep 1-4, with fully equipped kitchen. Studios with access facilities available.

All units have fridge, shower (some with single spa bath), hair dryer, phone, 5-channel Sky Digital TV, electric blankets, heaters and ironing facilities. Cooked/continental breakfasts and heat 'n' eat meals served to units. Other facilities include wireless internet access, guest laundry and barbecue area.

Bella Vista Motel is situated in a quiet central location, a short walk to Taupo town centre (650m) and lakefront (800m). Lake Taupo is where you can fish for rainbow and brown trout and is known as the trout fishing capital of the world.

"Overnight stay"

The staff were very friendly upon arrival and eager to help acclimatise into stay. Nice tidy unit and would stay again.

"Overpriced"

Shame on me! I never mentioned in the correct field that it was 2 Adults 2 children. An assumption was made that if you are booking a room with enough beds it should be just the one rate. I would never of paid $185 for such standard accomodation. My family are well travelled and are used to very high standards. We always prompt for the best price available and in this case I dont think Bella Vista have. We left with a sour taste and will never return or recommend Bella Vista in Taupo or any other city.
