A stay here is as relaxing as it gets! In a beautiful & tranquil setting you will find your own "home away from home" with everything you need at your fingertips...and plenty of privacy in addition. The menu/food at Foresters was excellent. If you are traveling in the Rai Valley, this is a place worthy of your consideration.
Very smart unit, spacious, well-furnished, comfortable, good beds and quiet. Friendly and helpful management.
We had a lovely couple of nights. The location is great with lots of open space to run around. We had a really nice dinner and enjoyed our spa bath. The hosts were very friendly - we intend to return.
We stayed for one night, and asked for a 2 bedroom unit so we could have 4 adults and 1 infant. The room itself was lovely, clean, warm and modern, and the beds were excellent. Two dissapointing aspects, was 1. There is no path to your unit - so after a full day of rain we had to walk over muddy grass to get to our unit. This mean't everyone had muddy shoes and of course it was slippery! Secondly - we had enough hot water for 3 quick showers, but the 4th person had a completely cold one. Maybe if the hot water is not enough for 4x average showers then maybe 4x people shouldn't be able to stay in the same room. Would stay again with a smaller group, if some concrete tiles or such were placed to reduce the grassy mud walk!
We have stayed at these motels before in Rai Valley and consider them the best we have ever stayed at. They also accommodated us with a cooked meal mid week (which they don't usually do) as we were working all day in the Rai Area. It was 10 out of 10. Fantastic. Such hospitable hosts.
Shower pressure was so good we even had a massage at the same time. Fantastic
I would recommend anyone to stay here - and great for kids too.
We spent 4 days at mt Richmond estate and loved the place.
The cabins are practically new and the location is beautiful.
Double insoltaion and an heatpump made the nights cosy and the hosts were attentive to all our requests.
We will stay again when the time comes to visit the area.

One of the best properties we have stayed at in NZ over a period of 35 years. The standard of the appliances, furniture was top class and the freindly and courteous service was very professional in every respect.
Food in Foresters Cafe was homecooked, appetising and inexpensive
This was a great spot to stay. The units are delightful, thoughtfully designed and really well appointed. Hosts were friendly and helpful. A spa under the stars was a great end to a long day's travel. We would strongly recommend these motels to families and all other travellers.
