The Kapiti Coast has a picturesque coastline, good fishing, DOC Bush walks, horse riding, safe swimming beaches and tours can be arranged to Kapiti Island's historic Native Bird Reserve. For the history buffs visit Southwards Car Museum, Aviation Museum, Tramways Museum and Queen Elizabeth Park 2km south.
