  "Update of review"

  It was with great pleasure That I spent a weekend back at Lake Benmore Holiday Park. it was a breath of fresh air to see the place under NEW MANAGEMENT,and the efforts of both Jamie and Pam are putting into the Park. I found then both friendly and helpfull. And I was impressed with the presentation of the Park. All I can say in Summery is this, I will certainly be giving the Park my frequent patronage. It is a beautiful location and happily this season has welcoming and very pleasant hosts.

  While I have to Agree in part with the previous reviewer, Areas of agreement, Tourist Flats, Greatly overpriced for their comfort and facilities, Each flat is very dated and although clean are historic to say the least, Very over priced. If I was to give a star rating it would be only just a one. As far as management is concerened I found it adequate, but very much the salesman attitude,with far more interest in the $ than the comfort of the patrons I felt he was out of his depth in the hospitality trade.

  I have been visiting the park aslo for about five years, the place has definatly gone downhill over the 2008 to 2009 period. very little attention given to keeping the place green. the previous management took a great pride in keeping the sites green by watering ,this extended right the way through the whole camp season.

  I have to agree about the dust bowl especially during the 2008-2009 season,this was due directly to failure to carry out watering.

  In summery. Benmore is a beautiful area. and the holiday Park could be with the care of good management.

  Camp sites with en-suit 4 Stars.

  Tourist flats and cabin.. 1 Star.

  Management 2008-2009 1 Star.

  "Lake Benmore holiday park"

  Having been a regular vistor to lake Benmore holiday park over the past 6 years, I have found it has gone down hill badly over the past two years 2008- 2009, this being due to bad management. management has very little regard for the privacy of patrons, I also found him quite rude and somewhat arrogant. Cost wise I have also found it to be rather expensive for the facilities available.

  Location can be a wind tunnel in the prevailing winds and the camp becomes a dust bowl later in the season January and February.

  In summery A very basic camp ground, urgently needing maintenance and upgrading and certainly requires new management. And fees being adjusted to suit the meager facilities.
