"one night in nelson" This was given a review of 2 stars (Below Expected)

the computer system had crashed when i arrived so there was no list of who was checking in. the room felt damp as there was no extraction in bathroom. staff came in in the morning without knocking. i am pleased i wasn't staying another night. on the plus you couldnt get more central, but i was lucky nelson has free parking on tuesdays as would of had to pay for street parking.

"Nelson for the rugby" This was given a review of 3 stars (Average)

The room we were given was very clean and tidy, but a tad more dated than we expected. In saying this the location was excellent, right in the middle of the CBD and a quick walk to Saturday market, shopping and bars. The managers were friendly and very obliging.

"Central, convenient location" This was given a review of 3 stars (Average)

Good to have a reasonable amount of space for 2 persons with hand luggage each and one case for cargo hold. Room was clean, and attendants friendly. External noise at night ( from loud persons in the street) and early morning ( from nearby construction that started at 7am) was the only downer!!

"Shortstay" This was given a review of 2 stars (Below Expected)

While in very good location, this property is very dated and seriously needs an upgrade. Host was very nice doing whatever he could to assist which was great and I have no doubt all efforts are made to keep property clean and tidy but, unless there is an upgrade in the very near future, business could be lost. No excuses whatsoever to have stained coffee mugs either so ended up buying and using own. Lift not an ideal mode of getting to your room if you are claustrophobic - aside from it smelling quite badly it feels confined, not smooth and like the rooms is in serious need of being fixed up. Would recommend to others BUT definitely tell them what to expect as far as comfort/pricing etc goes.
