Essential Info

Hours of Operation:
Tongariro Quads is open year round, 7 days a week.

Getting Here:
Tongariro Quads is located on State Highway 47 in the Tongariro National Park.

You need to bring:
Please wear long pants and sturdy footwear. You need to dress for the weather conditions, especially in the winter months. Also bring your camera.

Restrictions:
You must be 16 years and over to ride on our quad bikes. If you are under 16 years of age you may come as a passenger with the guide.

Overview

Tongariro Quads offer unique quad biking rides through the Tongariro Forest Park. We are located in the Tongariro National Park which is a world heritage area. We offer half, full and multi-day tours. Riding is all through scenic native bush in one of the most spectacular areas in New Zealand.

Many clients have rated the Tongariro Quads experience as the best quad biking ride in New Zealand. There are numerous photo opportunities along the way with spectacular views of Mount Ruapehu, Mount Ngauruhoe and Tongariro. Tongariro Quads gives you the opportunity to traverse rocky riverbeds and navigate through rugged bush to reach ridge tops overlooking spectacular river valleys, with panoramic views of the mountains and surrounds. Our rides have awesome trails, major mud and mayhem, river crossings and trails to challenge the best.

    A great day out, I would high recommend it. Great to see all the scenry of the Tongariro Park and lots of fun riding the quad bikes through the rivers and tracks. Malcolm the tour guide is a great guy and really helps you out and goes at your pace.

    "What an AmAzing way to See Tongariro" This was given a review of 5 stars (Excellent)

    Malcom's expertise and knowledge made our quad trip amazing! Malcom made a huge effort ensuring that my 15 and 16 yearolds were all able to use the quads and were comfortable before went for the real fast fun trails! When Malcom pulled out afternoon tea from his pack and put out a spead of hot tea, coffee, Milo and cookies, way out in the bush, I was totally impressed! Malcom even took care of my camera and took all the pictures so that we were all in the photos and he even took a little video when he knew it would come out awesome! I had never been quading before and I had so much fun!

    Thanks Malcom for making our holiday something really amazing!
