My family recently stayed at the Bayview Holiday Park for 12 nights in January 2011 and without a shadow of a doubt Bayview Holiday Park has got to be one of the best kept and friendly Holiday Parks we have stayed at in over 20 years of camping.
The staff were fantastic! They were friendly, helpful and kept everything spotless but most of all approachable, they were actively involved with us (even offering advise and help when we struggled to put up our awning and then again when we brought a new caravan and didn't know where everything went) and the other campers and just made sure things were okay which made our wonderful stay even better.
They even booked us in for the 'Pig on a Spit' so when we arrived on Sunday we just went straight over after setting up camp and had the most amazing Meal (even including Dessert) for only $18! We travelled 6 hours to get to Bayview so were grateful for the fantastic Meal as there was no way I was going to cook after that.
The Facilities were excellent, sometimes a little queuing but certainly no more than 5 - 10mins wait at the most and the grounds were lovely, well looked after and with the surrounding hills very peaceful.
Internet access was available through SiteWifi, a little slow but I used the one in the pub when it was too slow on my laptop (not the Bayview's fault I must add, just general slow access) and was able to surf easily enough.
Television reception was okay on most of the channels, even on Bunny ears, but we have since rushed out and brought a Caravan aerial to make it even better.
The pub next door wasn't a problem which I thought it might be with late night revellers but even on the busiest nights (which seemed to be only a Friday and Saturday) the music was over and done with by 10pm and was even quite nice to listen to and not over loud by my standards anyway.
The only gripe I may have had was the sound of the compresser next door in the Motorbike shop, but Bayview are fixing that problem by putting up a wall to shield the noise, but as we were usually out and about during the day it didnt bother us overly and wasn't a problem.
All in all, I would recommend Bayview Holiday Park to anyone and cannot speak to highly of the park and it's staff - see you next year Bayview, we'll be back!
