Overview
Glentanner Park Centre is Mount Cook's Holiday Park, Budget Accommodation Provider, Flightseeing and Activity Centre. Set amongst a working high country sheep station with panoramic views of Aoraki Mount Cook and Lake Pukaki, you will find 'The Complete Mount Cook Experience'. Located just 18km from Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, Glentanner Park Centre is a perfect tranquil destination. Catering to all accommodation needs with 5 self contained cabins (revamped in October 2010), 9 standard and basic cabins, and a 10 bed dormitory and backpackers.
Glentanner Park is also the only fully equipped campground in the Mount Cook region, with 60 powered sites and unlimited tent sites. Don't miss us on your way to Mt Cook Village! Holiday Park facilities include hot showers, toilets, kitchen, dining area, lounge with Sky TV and a log fire (with plenty of wood!), laundry and a fabulous indoor/outdoor BBQ pavilion.
At Glentanner you will also find a licensed cafe (open for breakfast and lunch all year round, with evening dining during the busier summer months), information centre, helicopter flight desk, merino retail and souvenir shop, and an airstrip.
You can make the most of the world renowned scenery by kicking back and relaxing, or by taking part in one or more of the many fantastic outdoor adventure activities that are on offer. They include helicopter flights with snow landings, scenic plane flights, horse trekking (November to April), glacier boat trips and kayaking, heli-skiing, 4WD tours, fishing, and of course there are many different walks!
We look forward to having you to stay. The problem will be when the time comes to leave, the high country is funny like that!
