A one hour drive from Queenstown, and nestled at the foot of glorious mountains is Mossburn. The scenery around this small town is nothing short of spectacular with towering, snow-capped mountains, flat green fields and sparkling rivers.

There are many deer, cattle and sheep farms in the area. New Zealand's first drysdale stock was developed here in the 1950s and deer farming kicked off from the 1970s. Mossburn now claims to be the deer capital of New Zealand and a large statue of a stag stands at the Western end of the town.
