Morrinsville lies 32 kilometres north-east of Hamilton and is a busy country Waikato town. Morrinsville is the centre of one of New Zealand's most productive dairy farming regions — it claims to have more cows within a 25km radius than anywhere else in the world! The land's current prosperity is in contrast to the water-logged plains which greeted the early settlers. The bend in Morrinsville's main street was apparently designed to keep the road on higher ground away from swamp areas.

Morrinsville offers visitors a taste of rural hospitality while being within easy reach of the attractions of Hamilton, Rotorua, Tauranga and Mount Maunganui. It has a good range of sports and recreation facilities, including the Westpac Events Centre, arts and crafts and beautiful gardens.
