A lovely modern furnished self-contained apartment, with a skylight above the bed to watch the fabulous night sky of Lake Tekapo. The owner (Craig) was friendly and very helpful with recommendations of places to see, things to do and restaurants to eat at. A very peaceful location, just a short drive from the town centre and the Church of the Good Shepherd. An ideal place for a couple's retreat.
Excellent accommodation, great hosts, no hesitation in recommending to others. The "star view" skylight is an absolute bonus - seeing is believing!
We had never stayed at Lakeview Tekapo before but it looked good from what we had seen on the internet. We were not disappointed! Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was fantastic - modern, comfortable and well equipped rooms. What made the room particularly appealing was the fantastic skylight above the bed so that you could look up at the stunning Tekapo night sky. There were also some nice personal touches such as chocolates and interesting books about the local area. The location was also really peaceful and quiet with stunning views of the lake. A fantastic place to stay. Thank you - we will definitely be back.
