Spend a lovely day in Lake Tekapo and drive on ............. this holiday park is not up to standard ............ many of the facilities are "broken down" and the communal areas need a desperate re-vamp. The management are unfriendly and not helpful and it is more expensive than TOP 10 who are required to maintain excellent standards
Staff very unfriendly. We contacted them before booking asking what size were their tent sites to be told "they fit an average tent" which wasn't very helpful
Facilities are disgusting - only clean for the first couple of uses after being cleaned and then for rest of day they are revolting. If you report anything is broken rather then come and look at the issue they will give you an out of order sign that will stay there the whole time you are there.
They are so greedy for bookings that once the camp is full they will then charge people to camp on the foreshore of the lake and use the facilities which meant at times you could be waiting in line for at least 30 minutes to use the shower or 10 minutes to use the toilet.
If you have to cancel they won't refund any of your money even though they will email you their policy saying if you don't give 48 hours then you have to pay 1 night which is fair but when you do cancel or cut short your stay they won't refund any money.
Shame the people managing the camp are so unhelpful and the place is neglected as the village and the lake are beautiful. We won't be going back there to stay.
