Kingston is a small town at the southeastern end of Lake Wakatipu. This is a peaceful area set amongst deep valleys, the only break to the tranquility being the train's whistle of the famous Kingston Flyer, calling you for a ride. There is easy access to the lake and all the lake activities including kayaking and boating. Or head to Queenstown, only 40 minutes drive north, for skiing and partying.Jasons Southern South Island RoutePlanner
