  • Kaikoura isn't just about the whales. There are dolphins, seals and native bird encounters worth doing too.
  • Fyffe House is the oldest standing building in Kaikoura, and is almost completely unchanged since the 1860's. What really makes this place unique, is the fact that the foundations are made out of whale bones.
  • Looking to do some tramping? Head up the Mt. Fyffe track. It will take a whole day (8 hours) but the view from the summit is AMAZING. You can see from Banks Peninsula in the south right up to the North Island.
