AN OLDER PROPERTY BUT CLEAN AND ALL THE FACILITIES YOU REQUIRED. WE ONLY HAD A STUDIO APPT BUT SUITED OUR NEEDS. THEY HAVE A POOL AND SPA BUT WE DID NOT USE.THE PROPERTY IS ON THE FLAT AND ABOUT A 15 MINUTES WALK TO THE CENTER BUT IS OPPOSITE THE BEECH

I went to Hokitika with my partents. It was VERY clean and comfortable and the hosts Brian and Adele most welcoming and very helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending it highly.

Very nice welcoming! We came very late and were pleased that the owner switched on a heater for us. Nice big apartment, very comfortable, good facilities for cooking. We would like to stay more then one night! Don't forget to visit glow worms! It is our most memorable experience in New Zealand!

Lovely people and very helpful. The unit was good with all the items you expect were there. If I go that way again I would stay there again.

This place was very basic clean, tidy and comfortable. The greeting at reception was very warm and friendly you were made to feel welcome, we had local attractions pointed out with recommendations on where to eat and what to do.

We stayed in a two bedroom unit which was spacious and well supplied.

The Manager was friendly and helpful, providing us with information about local sights and facilities.

Myself & my two sons aged 11 & 12 stayed one night. I would totally recommend others to stay at 252 Beachside as the room was clean & modern, the bed very comfortable and the hosts very friendly. Enough room outside our unit for the boys to kick around a ball. Close to beach and a short walk to the Glow Worms. Quiet location and only a short 2 minute drive to town.

large spacious accommodation great for a few night s away and as a base for exploring the West Coast. Although older unit still very clean and well stocked kitchen. Very helpful and informative owners. Just on outskirts of town and beach only 2 mins away. would recommend as good place to stay

We were in a motel unit.

The kitchen was well equipped, the lounge dining area spacious and beds comfortable.

It was probably been built some time ago as there are very few hotpoints.

The TV had Sky Sport.

We originally booked a standard room; on arrival Adele and Brian thought we would be more comfortable in a superior room so gave us a choice to upgrade. We were glad we did as we had a very comfortable stay despite the heavy rain. The spa pool was good and relaxing. Whilst we were there new TVs were put in the rooms. Just a short walk and we were on the beach - no good for swimming though - the site has a swimming pool.

Welcoming and caring hosts, units well equipped with attention to making guests feel at home.

Room was large and clean. The hosts were nice and helpful -- even provided me with laundry detergent. TV was small and an old tube-type but I really wasn't there to watch it. I would certainly consider staying here again.

This motel is very easy to find in Hokitika. The car can just park in front of the main door. Just 5min walk to the beach could view the sunset.

A friend and I stayed here for two nights/3 days enjoying the sights of Hokitika. Our accomodation was above our expectations, with small 'extras' making all the difference. Our fabulous hosts have only owned the Beachside complex for 6 years and is their first forare into the accommodation business, but I assumed they'd owned previous motels as they were go beyond what one would usually expect. Thumbs up for 252 Beachside Motels &Holiday Park.

We rented a 2 bedroom cottage and found it very clean, spacious, well-equipped and quiet. The hosts were friendly and quick to provide information on the town and area. The park itself is well located near the beach, walking distance to shops and very close to the glowworms. We would definitely stay here again.

The room we stayed in hadn't been updated yet (with a correspondingly lower rate), but that was no problem with us. The room was very clean and tidy and met all our needs. Very quiet location, with very helpful hosts who kindly lent us a torch so we could view the nearby glow worms.

46 aged Lincoln Graduates (68-70) enjoyed a pleasant 3 nights at 252 Beachside Motels.Accomodation.Facilities were clean,the beds were soft and the place was warm.We got on great with the other guests who didnt seem too overpowered by the oldies!.

Two friends and I went to Hokitika for few days to do day-tramps in the area. The little cottage we had at 252 Beachside Motels & Holiday Park was perfect for us. It was VERY clean and comfortable and the hosts Brian and Adele most welcoming and very helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending it highly.

Having stayed at Beachside before with a motorhome we had no hesitation to book a self contained cabin for a return visit. The usual warm friendly welcome was found and although some of the fittings in the unit were out-dated they were very clean and functional. Would be more than happy to come back.

It's a "holiday park," not The Ritz. But the service just as well could be from The Ritz.

This is the second time we have stayed at 252 Beachside. The rooms we had were spacious allowing 2 adults and 3 teens plenty of room; It's very handy to the beach and the glow worm cave; and we enjoyed the spa this time around (we used the pool on our last visit which was equally as good). Thanks :-)

We had to cancel our stay. On call to the motel to advise of the cancellation the person spoken too was not happy, and without even asking a reason for cancellation claimed that we had stopped them from booking the room out to lots of other people that day, that we cant cancel on the afternoon of the booking and it was not good enough that we did not give the 72hours notice, etc. Her tone was confrontational so we did not proceed to even begin to explain that their had been a family emergency. We were charged for all four of us not staying, full price. Needless to say - not very happy with the outcome.

Good facilities, nice atmosphere with friendly owners, easy access to beach and town centre. We enjoyed using the pool!

Well presented and very friendly staff.

Good value for money, clean, well equipped and great for a wild and rainy night in Hokitika. Enough room for our family party.

We really enjoyed our stay, the cabin/cottage was great had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and informed about the local area, giving us lots of ideas on what to do in the area. The property is a great place to base your self - right nice to teh beach - Thanks

We were very impressed with our motel room and the facilities available in the resort - pool, spa. It was within walking distance of the beach and glow worm den which was great.

Outdated, "campy" looking accommodation. Expensive when consider that you can find beautiful rental homes at nearly the same price throughout New Zealand. Needs updated carpet, furniture bedding and decor. Good location for easy access to the glow worms at night and a walk on the beach though. Could be a nice place with some updates, but wouldn't stay at again.

Friendly staff, clean accomodation and walkable to beach / supermarket. Excellent location.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Cabin accommodation a little tired.
