Overview

Gloucester House Motel is centrally located in a quiet residential tree lined street; 200m to RSA, Hastings CBD and supermarket. Hastings is home to both Art Deco and Spanish Mission architecture. Member of MANZ. Owner/operators: Neville & Jenny Hall.

    We stayed at this motel whilst attending a family function nearby. The motel was clean, tidy and very quiet given it's closeness to town. It is also relatively kid friendly. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks

    Hi we stayed over school holidays with our two kids 17 and 12. Highly recommend, the hosts are excellent and go out of their way to help. Definately the most clean and tidy place we have stayed at and the kitchen ammenities in the room we great, they had thought of everything. The pool was also great and they provided clean towels by the pool everyday. Happy to go again. D & J Humphrey

    We had an excellent stay here. The service was prompt and pleasant. The unit was impeccably clean. and very comfortable. It is a highly organised establishment. Also, it is so close to town. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Hastings.

    The owners were very courteous and helpful, responding to our requests quickly.

    Very clean and comfortable.

    NZ$5 for 50 MB internet was a bit high as all others we have stayed at since arriving in NZ have been free.

    Have stayed here many times over the years and it's still 1st choice as Gloucester House never lets us down..... not super flashy, but definately clean, comfortable, cheerful ,convenient & reasonably priced. The managers are very friendly and considerate.. going the extra mile. eg putting the heater & a light on when we were out for dinner and the weather was extremely cold and unpleasant. It was a much appreciated gesture.

    "lovely motel even better than we hoped" This was given a review of 5 stars (Excellent)

    A great value motel - much nicer inside than you can tell from the photos on the web and Just as every one else said, spotlessly clean and amazingly tidy too. Everything you need and could expect for this price at this busy time of year.

    Very friendly owners and great to have the daily servicing and to come home to clean rooms and towels every day and even some dishes done and cleared away!

    It is wonderful to have the pool by the units and to be able to watch the children play from the table and chairs which each room has outside the unit.

    Only negative- we were staying during a heatwave and would have loved a fan to cool down at night but under normal weather conditions it would not have been an issue and you'd ceratinly expect to pay more to have air conditioning or a fan.

    Thanks for a lovely stay.

    Wonderful as always - friendly personal service its like home away from home.

    It's the first place I check on for accomodation when we travel to Hastings and I wouldn't go anywhere else if I can possible help it. Impeciable clean and tidy and a pleasure to stay.

    This is the second time we have stayed at the Gloucester House Motel. We like that it is so close to Hastings shopping centre and supermarkets but it is so quiet! The rooms are comfy and spotlessly clean and we would happily recommend it to others.

    Very warm an welcoming. Great central location. Well equipped kitchen (if you're into that). Spacious units. Wireless internet being established at $5.00 per 50mb - signal weak (Aug 2010) but being actively improved. Excellent cooked breakfasts. Personally, I believe they are underpriced for both the units and breakfasts. Would definitely re-use their motel if visiting, or working in Hastings.

    Good spot, handy to everywhere I wanted to go for some Family research.

    Clean, comfortable & quiet.

    RSA was right next door for a very nice evening meal.

    Would be good to have internet connection though
