Overview

One of Hanmer's more modern motor lodges, adjacent to the Thermal Hot Pools. 14 luxury north-facing units, serviced daily: spacious executive studios and 1&2brm suites; all designated non-smoking; access facilities available. Ensuite with shower (double spa bath in executive suites), hair dryer, queen/king size beds, electric blankets, flat screen TVs, Sky TV, DVD player, balconies with alpine views. Continental breakfast available served to suite, business services, laundry, off-street parking, secure storage.

Central to cafes, boutiques, day spas and galleries. Central base for skiing, jetboating, quad biking, bungy jumping, scenic helicopter rides and 18-hole golf courses; 90min to Christchurch city (150km).     "A wonderfuly comfortable,warm and relaxing place to stay" This was given a review of 5 stars (Excellent)

    We had a wonderful stay at the Tussuck Peak Motor Lodge. The room was very warm, clean and modern although unfortunately we did not have a sink in our unit to wash our dishes in. Apart from this I would recommend them to anyone. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

    Motor Lodge is well situated in Hanmer Springs - adjacent to the Hot Pools. Staff were very friendly and informative. Room was spacious and comfortable. Price is comparable to most motels in NZ of this quality. One recommendation - putting a blind up in the toilet.

    Highly recommend the Tussock Peak Motel. Beautifully set out...lovely furnishings and very friendly and welcoming hosts. Very handy location ...walking distance to everywhere.

    Only thing to be aware of is the toilet window faces out on to the walkway to other peoples rooms. Whilst you cant see in, when the light is on you can see when someone is sitting on the loo. Maybe need some blinds here.
