Overview

Just a short walk from a deer park, aviary and spectacular gardens, the Riverlea Motel is centrally located in Gore and offers 10 comfortable and clean units. Town is just a brief 350m away, with plenty of entertainment, restaurants, shopping, quirky museums and the Eastern Southland Art Gallery well within range. The motel is right next to a great playground, so there is plenty to do to keep the kids busy. The Gore Museum and Dr John Money Art Collection are also only a short 200m away from the motel.

The Riverlea Motel accommodation consists of 10 modern ground floor units: 4 spacious studios, 4x1 bedroom (2 with access facilities), and 2x2 bedroom. All come with a fully equipped kitchen, Rheem high pressure shower and wireless broadband access.

As Gore is well known at the brown trout capital of the world, anglers will be glad to know that they'll only be 300m away from the Mataura River. Mataura has the highest population and catch rates of any river in New Zealand, so such close proximity is a real plus.

In addition to several art galleries, the arts are well represented in Gore. Country music's annual New Zealand Gold Guitar Awards', are held in Gore every June, attracting thousands of visitors to the town.
