We booked into this motel for a short break and for the cost it was extremely disappointing. The sign outside states luxury, how wrong, it was very ordinary, decor bland, towels thin and hard, no complimentary paper, only a minimal amount of tea and coffee. The whole experience was "mean" . Owners of motels need to be people people, these people were not. It was clean but that is all you could say.
We have just stayed in Auckland at a cost of $99 a night, it was clean, modern and well presented and the staff were friendly, very different.
Geraldine is wonderful and worth the stop, however.
There are some people you can not please, my advice stay at home
