Featherston town is renowned for its Fell Engine Museum, which houses the only Fell engine in the world. Visitors can explore the tranquil Ruamahunga River by canoe, picnic at the historic Tauherenikau Racecourse, or take a picturesque drive along the lakeshore to rugged Cape Palliser, with its historic lighthouse and native seal colony.
