Overview

Hosts Carolyn and Ron have undertaken a labour of love in restoring an early colonial New Zealand home to its former glory. The Drury Homestead was originally built circa 1879, and is set in majestic rolling farmland, bordered by native bush and a glorious tumbling stream.

Choose from four character-filled rooms, all with their own special views of the countryside. All the rooms have been lovingly refurbished with an emphasis on comfort and style. Your comfort, our style! We provide soft cotton sheets, toiletries, fresh flowers, tea, coffee and biscuits to all rooms. There is secure parking.

The Lily Room is a queen size studio which has its own kitchen and ensuite. It is situated on the ground floor and overlooks the orchard. It has a private entance and sunny verandahs. Upstairs, we have two queen size rooms, the River Room, overlooking the stream, and Dunedin, which has views of the countryside. Both rooms have ensuites. Cape Reinga is a single room with twin king-single beds and private bathroom. We have a cot available.

Come and stay with us and experience comfort and friendly hospitality, only 35 minutes fom the heart of Auckland city. We are an idyllic introduction to your New Zealand experience, situated only 20 minutes from Auckland Airport, and five minutes from State Highway 1. We welcome children and have a family cat and dog. Car available for guest use.

Tariff: $90 SGL $140 DBL

"A wonderful place!" This was given a review of 5 stars (Excellent)

We really enjoyed the warm hospitality of Carolyn and Ron at their beautifully restored home. Especially the fabulous breakfast with home made preserves was very delightful. The quietness was only interrupted by the baa of the sheep who peacefully grazed in the frontyard. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to NZ.

"What a Hidden Country Gem" This was given a review of 5 stars (Excellent)

Tucked away in the hills behind Drury, South Auckland is the Drury Homestead B & B. The owners Ron and Carolyn Booker have lovingly restored this delightful old homestead and gardens to its former glory. My husband and I have visited twice and will be staying there again shortly. Our hosts could not do enough for us to make sure our stay was memorable, especially last February when we fled Christchurch for respite after the big earthquake. The peace and tranquility of the homestead and Ron and Carolyn's generosity towards us in our time of need went way beyond our wildest expectations.

I would recommend this B & B to anyone who wants to escape the rat race that is Auckland - experience the hospitality and friendship that you can find at the Drury Homestaed.

Ron and Carolyn we will be back.

"Charming Property with Fantastic Hosts" This was given a review of 5 stars (Excellent)

Had a recent extended stay of 6-7 weeks at this charming property while relocating on corporate transfer. I found the property and facilities to be of the highest standard with every amenity possible. Both Caroline & Ron where wonderful hosts and made one feel as part of the family. I would highly recommend this property to anyone either on corporate transfer, wanting a tranquil location for a relaxing weekend or simply to experience the love and attention paid to the meticulous restoration of one of new beautiful character homes. Look forward to an opportunity to visit again. Best Regards. Nick Harper
