Stayed here as an alternative to the Commercial Hotel BnB when it was closed for the night. Arrived to front desk to being told to pay when I already had through the Jasons website. Apparently they don't know which website you book through or if you pay in advance. Arrived at the room and found several beetles and cockroaches and proceeded to eliminate them. Turned on the TV via the plug point as the remote was missing and the TV had key lock on. Tv turns on at near max volume and sky decoder remote takes a while to get it to an acceptable audible level. Went out for the rest of the day and came back around 10-11pm. Found more beetles and roaches than you would find under a rotten tree stump lurking in the room. Luckily we asked friends to lend us some bug spray and proceeded to dispose of said bugs. Turned on TV again and was deafened, again. Went to go to sleep and my girlfriend complains of her pillow smelling like B.O. I tell her it doesnt but then smell it myself and got a nose full of sweaty goodness. Bed was also too hard for my liking but that was within my anticipation of the room.
Next morning I went to drop off the key and complain about my stay. Went through the ringing door, waited and was greeted by a male country bumpkin who shouldn't have been putting his head out as the first man potential customers should've been seeing. He told me to "Just leave the keys there, thanks" and disappeared.
Wouldn't recommend this motel, even as emergency accommodation. Thoroughly unimpressed. I usually can handle places where the standard isn't the highest since I don't think much of the place itself, I just want a comfortable place to rest my head and most places fit the bill. This is the first motel review I have ever left so that says something itself.
cheers for nothing Parkview, would've prefered to sleep in my car.
Oh, also the showers are designed for vertically challenged people.
