Mundo Mexicano, 147 Maunganui Road - Locals and tourists alike rave about its great food, musical atmosphere and friendly staff. Open for lunch from 11.30am and dinner from 5.30pm, their menu boasts favourite Mexican dishes made from scratch such as tortillas, tostadas and quesadillas to be washed down with Coronas and margaritas. Children’s platters, great prices, and a BYO licence lets you bring your own drop if you please.
