Freddy's offers a unique experience for everyone! Wandering into the Ice House takes you into a whole new world where absolutely everything is made out of ice!
This longstanding ice bar will chill your bones while delighting your senses. Freddy's is Auckland's only winter wonderland where everything is hand carved from ice. You can touch, feel and explore our hand carved sculptures and architecture; even the cocktail glasses are ice!
Freddy's Ice House is an ALL AGES VENUE!! Whether it is a stop to party on a big night out, to visit and experience the sculptures and enjoy the cold, or to come with the family and let the kids experience life at minus 6 degrees, Freddy's is a great option. Children are admitted up until 8pm at night at which stage it becomes R18. All admission prices include jacket hire, glove hire (boots if required) and your first drink, be it a cocktail, shot or non alcoholic mocktail.
The theme is based around the famous Frederic Tudor, the "Ice King" and the original man to pack and ship ice around the World. He is the reason you have ice in your drinks today!!
Entering Freddy's is an amazing experience with unique Kiwi themed carvings and intriguing ice sculptures protruding from the solid ice walls. We also have on site an ice air hockey table, and our famous Jagermeister ice luge, an innovative way to do a shot or two. Your breath forms clouds of fog as you breathe in the beauty of the place and breathe out a sigh of marvel. What do you order at such a bar? Vodka cocktails of course, and they're extra cool being served in our amazing ice cocktail glasses.
Freddy's Ice House boasts its own ice carver who changes the bar and sculptures every six to eight weeks, continually re-creating the experience, and always giving you something new to look at. When you arrive at Freddy's, you will be kitted out in your own Kathmandu duck down jacket, plus gloves to keep those fingers warm - handy if your outfit is more of the summery variety. Once inside, head to the bar to indulge in at least one of Freddy's famous cocktails. All made with a splash of Russian Standard Vodka, your delicious cocktail will keep your insides nice and toasty while your outsides remain a little invigorated. Thousands have flocked to experience this unique concept to touch, feel and explore handcrafted ice sculptures and ice architecture made from 100% Canadian ice, and once you experience it too, you will leave wanting more.
