Overview

A warm welcome to Cricklewood House, situated in Tinwald Ashburton, an hour away from Christchurch Airport which, if you are travelling south to Aoraki/Mount Cook or Queenstown is the perfect place to spend a night, or if you are leaving New Zealand it is a peaceful place to spend a quiet night. Our property is situated very near to State Highway 1 (only a couple of minutes away).

Cricklewood House is a purpose-built house with our guests' comfort in mind. We have a king size bed with an ensuite, also tea making facilities, a queen size bed with a shared bathroom and tea making facilities and one room with two single beds with a shared bathroom.

We can supply dinner with 24hrs notice, which is served in a formal dining room, or alternatively there are some good restaurants within 5 minutes of Cricklewood House.

David and Gyneth are retired farmers who retain their interest in farming and are happy to answer questions about rural life in New Zealand and farming. We are also interested in sports and gardening, embroidery, cooking and meeting people from all over the world. We have been hosting guests for over 21 years and look forward to meeting you.
